In this episode of The Zweig Letter podcast, Randy Wilburn talks about his experience at Podcast Movement, the world's largest and longest running podcast conference with more than 2,000 podcasters in attendance. This year, keynote speakers included Terry Gross of Fresh Air, Pat Flynn of the Smart Passive Income podcast, and Jarl Mohn, president and CEO of NPR. Randy hosted a session called "How to Bring Value and Opportunities to Your Corporate Environment with a Podcast" in which he talked about his journey to suggest, create, and develop a podcast for Zweig Group. He says that his goal in starting a podcast was to get the word out about Zweig Group through a new format. Randy says that's one of the big benefits of podcasting: It's a great way to extend your brand beyond your normal reach. Randy encouragers listeners to consider podcasting, whether it's an external or internal podcast. External podcasts can be used to promote your brand, talk about your services and products, and develop new relationships. An internal podcast can be used to educate staff about what's happening in the firm, to extend the brand throughout the team, and to create better brand ambassadors. Randy predicts that having a podcast will make your firm more searchable online, and that they'll only get more popular. There's no better time than right now to start a podcast, so what are you waiting for? Hear about this and more in this episode of The Zweig Letter podcast. Thanks for listening!
