2025 Rising Stars in the AEC Industry

Rising Stars has provided a spotlight for the AEC industry’s future leaders for nearly two decades.  This award is designed to recognize those younger professionals who have set themselves apart by demonstrating:

• Exceptional technical capability
• Leadership abilities
• Effective teaching or research skills
• A passion for community & industry service

Through these capabilities and skills, our Rising Stars have made a tremendous impact on the design professions, their employers, project owners, and the public. 

Want to nominate someone as a 2025 Rising Star? 

Here are the eligibility requirements:

1. Nominees must be 35 years of age or younger as of Dec. 31, 2024, and working in the United States for a private-sector company (or self-employed), public agency (i.e., federal, state, county, or city), military, a non-profit organization, or educational or research institution. Self-nominations are acceptable.
2. Nominees should have a record of demonstrated exceptional ability and professional accomplishments related to the AEC Industry in one or more of the following capacities: management; leadership; teaching; research; and/or public service.
3. Firms are permitted and encouraged to submit up to three nominations for the Rising Stars award
   
   

Now that you’ve identified your Rising Star, here is the information about your nominee(s) you’ll need to complete their submission:

1. The discipline of your firm (Category)

2.  Information about the Rising Star such as their name, credentials/certifications, title, employer, city, state, email address, and age (as of 12/31/2024).

3.  Educational background and experience including school(s) and major(s)

4.  Professional accomplishments as described by their demonstrated ability and specific accomplishments (project design, management, leadership, teaching, research, and/or public service

5. Significant projects and the nominee’s role

6.  Involvement in professional organizations, community grounds, and/or public service

7.  A publication-quality digital image (jpg or tiff) of the nominee (2x3 in. or larger at a resolution of 300 dpi.

Nominations for the 2025 Rising Stars in the AEC Industry award close at 12:00 am EST on March 29, 2025.

How are Rising Stars Selected?

Completed nominations submitted before the deadline will be considered by a panel of judges representing Zweig Group and The Zweig List.  Incomplete or late forms will not be considered in the selection process.

Rising Stars will be selected from the pool of nominations at the discretion of the assembled judges.  Selections will be made based solely on the information submitted through the above process.

Nominees selected as Rising Stars will be notified on or before April 25, 2025.
