Best Firms to Work For (BFTWF) is much more than an award. It’s a way of not only celebrating your firm’s successes, but also to benchmark your firm against the largest collection of employee sentiment data in the AEC industry.
BFTWF recognizes the top AEC firms in the US and Canada based on workplace practices, employee benefits, retention rates, and other employee sentiment data. Firms that submit for the BFTWF award are also given access to more than 2 million data points about employee sentiments gathered every year specifically focused on the AEC industry.

Firms that submit for the BFTWF Awards Program are ranked according to their category with the ranking based on a combination score comprising the corporate survey and employee surveys. Firms will be ranked by size and discipline, so firms will only need to register once.
Every firm who enters the award program receives access to employee survey data on the Zweig Insights platform.

Participating in the award process is an effective and efficient way to gain employee insight. All participating firms receive a summary report of their employees’ survey responses.
Important dates:
- February 2025 through Registration Deadline - Corporate and employee surveys sent out upon entering
- May 2, 2025 - Registration deadline
- May 7, 2025 - All Corporate and Employee surveys due
Winners are based on a combined score from the Corporate Survey and the Employee Survey.
Awards will be conferred at the 2025 ElevateAEC Conference.
Privacy: Zweig Group will not, under any circumstances, disclose the names of firms that apply and do not make the list of winners.
