Survey data finds salary increases across every region for project managers, drafters, and business development representatives.

Zweig Group’s recent release, The 2015 Salary Survey of Architecture, Interior Design & Landscape Architecture Firms, compiles data from a broad sampling of architecture firms across the United States, and analyzes annual base salary information on all positions at architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture firms, with additional firm type, firm staff size, and office region data breakdowns.

Other notable findings included significant increases for senior architects’ average annual base salary in the South Central area. While most regions saw a small increase or even decrease, senior architects in the South Central region have seen their average annual base salary rise from $80,265 in 2014 to $91,875 in the 2015 version of the publication.

Relative to the average base salary for all regions, the CIO/IT Director position has the greatest variance, seeing an average base salary range from $90,859 in the North Central region to $147,000 in New England. Interns see the smallest regional variances in average base salary relative to the overall sample, ranging from $38,457 in the Middle Atlantic to $42,218 in the South Central area.
