DBR Engineering Consultants, Inc. expands El Paso footprint with acquisition of Borunda & Associates After three years of success in the El Paso market, DBR Engineering Consultants, Inc. cemented its presence in West Texas with the acquisition of Borunda & Associates, Inc. The deal increases DBR’s capabilities in both K-12 and Higher Education markets. Zweig Group, a full-service AEC management advisory firm, represented DBR. Phil Keil, Director of Strategic Services at Zweig Group, was the firm’s PM and sourced the selling firm. “DBR's acquisition of Borunda & Associates enables DBR's expansion of their footprint in Texas, their expertise in education, and has strengthened their team so it can better serve the evolving needs of their clients,” Keil said. In 2016, DBR opened its first El Paso office. DBR is currently working on projects with El Paso ISD, Socorro ISD, and El Paso University Medical Center.
