Zweig Group, a full-service AEC management advisory firm, announced its client Williams + Paddon Architects + Planners has merged with 19six Architects, one of the oldest architectural firms in California.

Zweig Group advised Williams + Paddon through the transaction. The deal team included Jamie Claire Kiser, managing principal at Zweig Group, and Drake Hamilton, an advisor with Zweig Group’s M&A team.

“Zweig Group was pleased to represent Williams + Paddon on this transaction, and we are excited to see them partner with 19six, a firm that shares a great deal of their cultural values and a commitment to employee and client success,” Hamilton said.

Williams + Paddon was established in 1981, as a multi-disciplinary firm providing architecture, interior design, programming, and master planning services. Its foundation is based upon quality architectural design, technological leadership, responsive service, and environmental stewardship.

“Williams + Paddon is honored to blend our more than 40 year legacy in Northern California with the service excellence 19six Architects has provided to its client base for more than 116 years,” said Jack Paddon, AIA, founding principal of Williams + Paddon. “This combination of two great companies will provide enhanced design services to our clients across California and increased collaboration opportunities for our valued employees.”

19six specializes in education and healthcare markets, both complementary to the markets Williams + Paddon currently serves. 19six is based in San Luis Obispo, California, and now has eight offices across the state: San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Corona, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Sacramento, and Roseville. Williams + Paddon is joining the team of more than 100 employees who all share a passion for design excellence. This will expand Williams + Paddon’s reach and add a broader network of staff to work with as the firms grow together. Equally important, Williams + Paddon and 19six share similar cultures, values, and vision. As a result of this deep network and aligned culture, Williams + Paddon staff will have new opportunities for career growth and new resources for learning and development.
