SCHRADERGROUP, a Pennsylvania-based architectural, interior design, and structural engineering design firm, has joined Hord Coplan Macht, an award-winning integrated architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and planning firm with offices across Maryland, Colorado, Metro DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
SG’s expertise in PK-12 education, higher education, mission critical, and public safety facilities, combined with HCM’s full-scale practice and innovative design approach, strengthens its ability to serve a wide range of clients. The addition of SG’s practice will drive HCM’s growth in these sectors and will add mission critical and public safety to its portfolio of services.
HCM’s geographic presence will improve SG’s ability to serve its national mission critical and public safety clientele. With offices in Metro Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Lancaster, and State College, SG’s practice provides HCM with an overall presence across Pennsylvania.
"SCHRADERGROUP shares our values, our commitment to design excellence, and our focus on client service, making this a natural fit,” says Tim Barnhill, AIA, CEO of Hord Coplan Macht. “We are excited to welcome their expertise and talented team into our firm, providing even greater value to our clients and growing our footprint in new markets."
With expanded service capabilities and markets, SG can now offer access to a broader range of solutions, enhancing its ability to meet project goals and serve clients more effectively.
"By joining HCM, we can offer our clients greater horsepower, more robust resources, an expanded portfolio of services, and a national presence,” says David Schrader, FAIA, Managing Partner at SG. “This is an exciting step forward for our team as we continue to deliver the same level of quality and service while gaining new growth opportunities."
The transition will also provide new career development opportunities for employees, with increased geographic mobility and access to additional resources.
Zweig Group's Mergers and Acquisitions team advised Hord Copland Macht through this transaction. Zweig Group is the leading research, publishing, and advisory services resource for firms in the AEC industry.
"It was a privilege to support Hord Coplan Macht in this transformative step toward expanding their national presence and deepening their service offerings," says Tracey Eaves, managing director of Transition consulting at Zweig Group. "This partnership reflects HCM’s thoughtful, strategic approach to growth and their continued commitment to delivering exceptional value to clients and opportunities for their team."
