Idaho-based neUdesign Architecture has announced its merger with Colorado-based architecture and engineering firm EVstudio. This merger will open the door to Colorado’s and Idaho’s ever growing industry for both firms and will better serve clients needing architecture, planning, and engineering support.
Zweig Group, a full-service AEC management advisory firm, represented selling firm neUdesign Architecture in this transaction. Will Swearingen, a principal and director of ownership transition with Zweig Group, served as the company’s lead advisor on the engagement.
“Zweig Group is proud to have been able to facilitate an external transition for Jim Escobar and the neUdesign Architecture team,” Swearingen says. “Joining forces with EVstudio gives the Idaho-based design team access to additional services and markets to expand their design capabilities for modular and other commercial, residential, and industrial clients. We are incredibly thankful to have been selected as the advisory team for neUdesign Architecture – and that we were able to find a partner quickly, successfully closing the transaction to achieve our client’s ultimate objective of spending more quality time with family.”
This merger of EVstudio and neUdesign, which will be operating under EVstudio, was built on compatible company cultures and values and the growing need for innovative modular construction services in the Western market.
"Working with the Zweig Group team was an excellent experience,” says Jim Escobar, neUdesign Architecture’s founder and principal. “Not only did they carry the process forward with great leadership and guidance, but they also followed through with their connections and vision to achieve the goals before us. I never would have believed it possible to actually initiate, find a buyer, and close the deal in only a few short months – but we did it, and we all did it with a positive, forward momentum attitude that came to bear fruit. I would easily recommend Zweig Group for any other design firm looking to change their future."
Regularly ranked as the sixth largest architecture firm in Idaho, neUdesign Architecture is a firm of architects, designers, drafters, and support staff who work on and manage projects across the United States and abroad. EVstudio is an award-winning, multi-state architecture and engineering firm with a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to the design process. This merger will give neUdesign clients access to EVstudio’s suite of engineering and planning services.
