Cooper Carry, Atlanta’s largest architecture firm, has acquired 505Design. Cooper Carry will grow from 320 to 360 employees as a result of the deal and expand its office footprint to Boulder, Colorado, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kyle Reis, CEO at Cooper Carry, said in a news release that 505Design will help his firm “infuse the design of places with the kind of connectivity, story and emotion that leads to long-term return on investment for our clients.”
505Design specializes in mixed-use developments, as well as retail-only and residential-only projects. One recently completed project was for Clear Springs Development’s Kingsley Town Center in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
505Design also has performed interior design work at Market Street in The Woodlands, Texas; Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, California; and the Outlet Connection in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Cooper Carry is the largest architecture firm in Atlanta measured by employed architects with 152 licensed architects on staff. The firm also has offices in New York and Washington, D.C.
