FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (August 20, 2015) – For the first time, Zweig Group’s Annual Salary report for the architecture and engineering industries will include data gathered from two sources: HR professionals and employees themselves. Previously, the report collected responses from a survey of HR managers. With the addition of the new individual survey, the report will collect a more comprehensive and diverse range of data from a wider variety of respondents.

“The comprehensive Salary Survey for HR professionals collects data about the firm, then asks about the average salaries and years of experience for a wide variety of possible positions within the company,” says Christina Zweig, Director of Research and Marketing for the company. “But the Individual Salary Survey asks each respondent to report his or her position, exact salary, and years of experience, while also asking questions about the firm. This allows us to collect data from a wider variety of people, including those whose companies didn’t respond to the larger survey.”

Zweig adds that the HR survey is also tailored to respondents’ answers to save them time. “We know HR professionals are very busy and we appreciate the time they spend on the survey, so we base questions on previous answers. If your responses indicate that your firm doesn’t employ any civil engineers, for example, the survey skips over questions about salaries for civil engineers.”

Every year, the salary survey provides a comparative standard for those in the architectural and engineering industries. Businesses rely on the report to learn how competitive their salaries are, while individuals use it to determine how their salaries compare to the average.

HR personnel who participate in the HR study will receive a coupon for 65% off the finished report, or any other current Zweig Group study. Respondents who take the Individual Salary survey will receive a free “benchmark” report so they can compare their salaries to the averages for the position.
