Hear from our leaders:

- Performance (Tom Godin):

Performance is the execution of an action; the fulfillment of a mission. Performance results from the application of sound management and the inspiration of great leadership. Firms need to continually take stock of both. Are we capable of delivering the results we want, and are we inspiring our team to achieve?

- Growth (Ying Liu):

Growth is as vital as oxygen for AEC firms, transforming aspirations into achievements through the ethos of “Vouloir, c’est pouvoir” (where there is a will, there is a way). Growth drives performance, shapes culture, retains the best talent, attracts more top performers, and fosters innovation. As we step into 2025, consider: does your firm have both the will (vision) and the way (strategy and execution) to succeed and outperform in this increasingly competitive and evolving market? How can you unlock growth enablers to effectively bridge the will and the way, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth?

- Talent (Jeremy Clarke):

In 2025, the battle for top talent in the AEC industry will only intensify, threatening firms' ability to meet project demands and stay competitive. Having a solid Talent strategy that leverages nimble recruiting and retention capabilities won’t be just important—it will be the difference between thriving or falling behind in a rapidly evolving market.

- Transition (Tracey Eaves):

Transitioning ownership is the culmination of years of investment in a firm and making the financial and professional commitment to building and operating a company that brings value to clients, the industry and, ultimately, the shareholders.  When it comes to ownership transition many considerations must be made including the options of an internal or an external path..  All of this starts with understanding the value proposition and options that will ultimately fit the goals of owners including preservation of legacy, opportunities for employees and the next generation, and maximizing value.  While internal transitions remain the most popular option for exiting,  2025 is poised to be another growth year for industry acquisitions and firms will be presented with opportunities that will require a readiness on all fronts and a clear vision for what’s next for the firm’s future.
